Hong Junsheng was Chen Fa-ke’s longest-serving disciple, studying with him for 15 years in Beijing. He did not seek to change his Master’s art; instead, he sought to decode it.
The Science of the Form While others were confused by the complexity of Chen Fa-ke’s movements, Hong Junsheng applied a rigorous, analytical approach. He realized that what others called “New Frame” was simply the application of precise physics—rotations and “circles within circles” that his Master performed with effortless mastery.
The Practical Method What we call the “Practical Method” today is the preservation of those exact mechanics. It is not a different style, but a detailed manual for the unaltered stream of Chen Fa-ke.
